What started as simple curiosity became a hobby. The hobby developed into a passion. Then, in the wake of a layoff in 2015, passion became occupation and I started a new career in the wine industry.
My enduring affair with wine occurs because it not only satisfies my taste buds, but also captivates my mind. To a wine lover, that liquid in the glass is more than just a beverage. It’s history, grapes, and craftsmanship. It’s soil, climate, chemistry, and maybe even a little magic.
Every glass of wine has a story to tell. One of the best parts of my new career is sharing these stories. At wine tastings I get to share them with a few people at a time. Here I have the opportunity to share them with many more.
